Accounting Manager

Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• CPA preferred
• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience,
• Must possess excellent knowledge of current GAAP and recent developments as well as financial statement preparation and cash management skills
• Demonstrated and proven ability to successfully train, coach and motivate personnel
• Results-oriented, hands-on management style with ability to successfully multi-task
• Well developed analytical, problem solving, organizational, communications and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Specific Responsibilities:
• Responsible for preparation of GAAP compliant consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in a timely and accurate manner
o Including heavy concentration on cash flow reporting including weekly, monthly and forecasting
o Understand and communicate all significant variances on all financial statements
• Responsible for performing/overseeing monthly filing of sales tax returns and maintain sales-tax database in MAS200
• Responsible for ensuring accuracy and reliability of trial balance
• Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations
• Responsible for personnel direction and evaluation of other general accountants
• Research and resolve personnel issues and provide reasonable solutions to employees
• Perform/oversee monthly filing of sales tax returns and maintain sales tax database in MAS200.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
• Assist in the development of policy and procedure manuals for accounting as well as suggest process and reporting improvements to streamline work
• Liaison with the external auditors
• Prepare for and participate in internal and external reviews and audits.
• Support the financial analyst in preparation of the monthly budget vs. actual variances
• Support the CFO and senior management with ability for ad-hoc reporting
