Strong computer and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) skills.
-Must handle large spreadsheet data entry, sorting, and formulas.
Description:
The ideal candidate will have 1+ experience working in administrative and marketing departments of a financial firm, or 3+ years of same experience in other industries. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also required and the ability to work successfully with others is a necessity. Must have excellent organizational and managerial skills, possess solid work ethics, be self-motivated, responsible, detail oriented, and be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. The candidate must be proactive and handle pressure well. One of the most important traits will be to follow-through the completion of every project and the open-to-close life cycle of a client investment account. They must also be able to adapt quickly to the set procedures of the Company and implement them effectively. They will be responsible for working with other members of the management and administrative team and assisting in the overall management of the company. Candidate must also be able to work with large excel databases and be comfortable with sorting and formulas.
Duties in detail:
*Process new accounts, keeping up to date with new regulations, rules, and paperwork.
*Answer general questions regarding new accounts.
*Provide high-level administrative support to Company and Principal of Company by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, handling client and prospect phone calls and e-mails.
*Prepare & analyze weekly, monthly & quarterly management/sales reports, and manage monthly sales forecasts.
* Expand the company’s revenue base through the development of long-term projects, marketing ventures, tradeshow participation.
*Work on marketing / sales manager task force motivating sales force production.
*Work with the compliance to develop and create sales materials.
*Train new employees to assist with administrative tasks.
*Assists with proposal writing and cost estimating. Work with vendors to obtain favorable subcontractor and material pricing to reduce job costs and increase our competitiveness.
*Balance time between revenue generating activities and relationship building.
* Upkeep and track broker marketing and production reports.
This position has traditionally served as an essential stepping stone for higher positions in the areas of marketing, management, trading or sales within the firm. The right candidate will be expected to grow in level of responsibilities and tasks. The company is growing at quite an accelerated pace, hence all candidates that prove their qualifications are expected to gradually take on more responsibility and increase in management level. Particularly, within one year the candidate is expected to advance in responsibility level and compensation.
Compensation: Starting salary $35,000 per year - Increase at 3 month review. 12 month reviews thereafter.
