Legacy Physicians Group, a well-established Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) practice, is seeking board-certified PA’s for delivery of care in LTC/SNF/IRF settings in the South Dallas area. We are looking for highly-skilled, compassionate, self-motivated practitioners with an innate commitment to quality care and professional practice development. Previous PM&R experience preferred but not required.

Expectations:
•Management of inpatient disorders such as multi-trauma, stroke, musculoskeletal care, spinal cord injury, acute and chronic pain syndromes, and other comprehensive rehabilitation needs.
•Ability to learn and efficiently utilize Electronic Medical Record
•Provide consultation for patients in regard to rehabilitation needs
•Performs comprehensive physical assessments, develops a treatment plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response within prescribed guidelines and instructions of collaborative physician.
•Obtains, compiles, and records patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination.
•Maintains appropriate billing/coding practices based on CMS Guidelines.
•Administers or orders diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical needs as it relates to rehabilitation and pain management.
•Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
•Records physical findings and formulates plans and prognosis, based on patient’s condition.
•Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment, or related therapeutic procedures with collaborative physician approval.
•Coordinates and discusses preventive services with collaborative physician in the ongoing care of patients.
•Attends and participates in staff conferences, clinic meetings, committee meetings, and NP/PA meetings.
